  1. Am I the only one who thinks this is utterly ridiculous? Armor increases by 10x in some cases, weapon ranges double (probably not including specials like SFB3 or HB3), resistances increase substantially, accuracy increases, weapon damages double.....

    Where can I get the armor plates to get 86k armor on my V2-C (like the reaver scout)? Hell, I probably can't even get that for a fleet of 5 V2-C and still fit weapons or specials....

    1. You definitely are not the only one... they are cranking the difficulty level to insane to test the limits of the whales... Kind of like the USA taxing ourselves into prosperity.....

    2. Things like this may have very well been happening historically too. The difference is now you have visibility into it. I used to only list what was on the ship, no stats on what those "things" did. We knew things got cranked up from raid to raid, but had no numbers to prove it. On top of that our ships got cranked up on the damage they could inflict.

      Were these at the same speed/level, no, but both were increasing. New users have both advantages and disadvantages compared to what the "old timers" had. Much more access to knowledge and suggested builds, more tech to play with, etc, but at the same time there is a million and one ways to build things, so what will work is always a gamble!

      Anyway, just wanted to point out that while things continue to balloon, this really isn't anything new, been that way since the first raids and in the end, their a business and they are making money. As long as that continues to happen, don't expect them to change the model.

  2. But Nuke, are you sure that the new scout has 60,000 armor. That is astronomical compared to the old. Something doesnt seem right

    1. that is what it currently is in the files yes. Does that mean it is accurate? who knows, they may find out they have a bug in what it was and tweak it, but as it sits now, it is 60k.

    2. We thought the torp towers were insane at 100k, but that was the real value (not including bonus from damage reduction/armor etc) ... so i expect it is what we will see

    lol ships with 1/4 of a million HP LOL.

    And since they bumped rad. resistance to 75% on the ships launchers will not work very well.
    The new high damage missiles may still work ok but fuck insane difficulty bump!

  4. I was super excited about the raid when I seen the phantoms were coming back, but then I seen the prices of the prizes. Then coming here was even more depressing and it is Kixeye pushing the envelope. It was bewildering to see so many people breaking 100M. This time they have a 200M badge that you guys posted.

    The resist and armor bumps are simply maddening. I am trying to stay positive and perhaps they left us a way to score points without 100 hours ass time.

  5. I would rather have 100 hours of ass time than having to spend $100 in coins. Even if you have the exact same weapons, the new reavers simply out-armor, out-range, out-accuracy (yeah, not a real word but you know what I mean lol), and out-damage you. Ass time won't count because you'll be dead and waiting for repairs or coining them to get your ass back into the game...
