Dragon's Grip 2

Last Updated:  9/18/2013:

It appears you can go through it 2 times like last time and that the targets will be the same (1-4, 6-9 = Drac Fleet; 5, 10 = Drac Base):

Tier 1
  • Special 1 or Siege Drone 1
Tier 2
  • Special 2 or Siege Drone 2
Tier 3
  • Special 3 (hydrolic shells from what I hear (1-3)) or Siege Drone 3

Tier 4
  • D33Z or Sent 5 - A state of the art prototype of the Sentinel Missile, with improved penetration aids against ship defenses and armor.

Tier 5
  • Juggernaut X or Stingray
9/18: Look, almost identical to the other one, but figured it was out there and the raid hasn't started, so I'd put it up.

You will notice it is 5 weapon slots now, not just 4, so it should have a little more thumping power.

No idea yet on what special 1-4 are, but the new drac hull does appear to be the Juggernaut X based on 2 different pieces of info.  One is subjective, based on the ID number of the hull, the other is a bit more specific based on info found lying around. (thanks to El and Les for pointing out some obvious stuff I missed!)

Other changes:
It looks like they've added SCX and JuggX in on the 1000 series hulls, so that may mean you'll be going up against them in the raid, or at least in the near future in bases.

Everything subject to change as always with Kixeye!

  2. X, would you be willing to email me the latest events file?

The boot drive in my main PC died and I can't run the proxy on this PC (I'm behind a corporate firewall).

    1. I've sen the xexon or whatever it is posted by someone on bpoutpost. So far none of the specials or the drac hull have been posted to the public servers, at least as of my last check about 2 hrs ago.

    2. From looking at the ID number of the new hull, I'm going to say it's the Juggernaut-X... Drac hulls are in numerical order and -X variants are 1 digit higher than the vanilla version. Jugg is h_4062, and this new hull is 4063.

350x rewards are specials, and so far have been the "Stacking upgrades" stuff we've been seeing in tier 3 of the FM's - Speed/Evade/Concussion... there's no telling what this specific item upgrades, however.

    6. JuggX is as good a working theory as any! Most "X" series have been one higher than their originals except for the SCX. This is all assuming Kixeye has a plan on their naming/number conventions and some days I'm not so sure they do.

But that does seem to be the typical numbering sequence. LC 4040, followed by 4041 for LCX, BC/BCX, room in there for a BSX if they release a 4061 in the future. THe SC should have been 4064 instead of 4065 and then they'd have had room (oops). Yeah, overall that numbering scheme theory works well minus the SC/SCX.

And yes, the 3500 series have all been stacking upgrades so far. Not sure if these 4 will continue that or not. There is a bit of mix/match going on in the 3300 series for specials and armors. At least I have a few of the 333x in specials and the rest in armor, maybe I should go make sure they are in the right spot! ZA D5 series stuff is tagged as specials, not armor, but don't know that was ever released either though.

    7. Based on other info that bpoutpost poster El pointed out to me, yes Jugg X is most definitely what is coming for this months raid prize.

      Things you overlook sometimes!

  4. Hey xnih, is there anyway you can somewhere post what version of file you looked at when looking into this information? Specifically, you can see what version of file it is when looking at the Facebook page at the bottom right hand side of BP. Our current version is: 142.25921

    4. yes, since the 13th, but on the 12th there were 3 or 4 different ones. Even though none of them changed, the numbers did (I assume it is fixes in other languages or something, never makes sense to me when they change version number, but no content)

    1. I just report what I find, I don't create it! :)

Though I like my jugg fleet, throw a rogue crew on it and cruise through a drac base, works nicely! Except for the 16.5 hr repair time after it is dead.

  6. any indication that the specials are 2 different types. Kixeye did state that there would be 3 prizes this raid, any indication of this?

  7. There's 4 different new specials in the list - however both specials and armor use the same part ID range. The specials this time around are #'s 3503-3506, which so far have been the "Upgrade" series of specials - 3503 however is tier 4, and 3504/5/6 are tiers 1-3, so I think that tier 1-3 are different levels of the same special (like Siege 1/2/3 in the last raid), and tier 4 is a completely different special.

My personal theory is that tiers 1-3 are small single-buff specials, and the tier 4 one is a big one that combines all three of the smaller ones into a "mega-special" that's worthy of being in tier 4.

    1. Those have been in the files for a long time and it doesn't match those numbers, so it won't be them.
