17 June 2014 update

Ok, main things already were talked about a week or so ago with possible refits, 3 of the 4 have happened now, more indications that NC's are coming sooner or later still.

Also, campaigns started today.  Interesting concept and nice way to pick up some things I've missed in the past.  Glad I didn't grind it out to get the Disruptor!

Weapons, not sure which ones and how many, have changes to them.

Impact Cannon D30-N for example went from 50 damage with a 1.5x multiplier for building and wall damage to a 3x with 97 damage.  Its range also went from 180 to 215 (div both by 5 to get in game range), so that is that, an increase of 7 range?

It looks like a ton of weapons got some type of boost.  Even the Reaver Chaingun got a slight range boots (1)

  4. Weapon changes are crazy, considering quitting because of them. People have spent months building their ships based on a certain set of stats, and many hours of game play earning the blueprint versions to suddenly see kixeye nerf them. Maelstrom 5 is completely useless now relative to the researchable Maelstrom 4.

    1. Actually the Maelstrom 5 has some stats better than Mael4 that make it more desirable such as projectile speed.

  5. Per CM Robot, "I know that there was also a lot of talk about the Maelstrom rocket IV's damage being much stronger on paper. That said, Maelstrom V is more efficient at dealing its damage than Maelstrom IV, which wastes a lot of its damage. We wanted to bring the Maelstrom IV up but also didn't want to take away from what makes the Maelstrom V unique, so we boosted the damage, but it should not outperform Maelstrom V's."
