Closing Note:  Wow what a storm this post stirred up on the forums, bpoutpost, and battle pirates all sectors!  Roll with it people, sheesh!

  1. WuT? Air drones? Not sure I like the sound of that....

    1. What o we use to defend against them???

    2. any countermeasure weapon according to bp forums.

  2. I hope to god this is false, terrible idea adding in air drones.

    1. I just post what they put in the files. I keep expecting them to put fake info in there one of these days, but been publishing this for a LONG time and so far it has always been accurate.

Assuming it is accurate not sure what new weapon they'll add to shoot down UAVs!

Maybe it will be a shark, we can jump it, and.... oh wait we may already have jumped it in the past, but then again, I'm still playing 3 years later, so I'll just wait to see what comes out and continue to post what they leak through files.

    2. Phalanx should probably be able to kill UAV's.

    3. I like the idea very much. Ballistic weapons should be able to take down the UAV's and I think for base defense, the existing flak guns should be good enough.

    4. Proximity sensor special for morts. If it comes near a target in the air it explodes and splash or shockwave comes into play. If not near an air target it continues to water and acts like a normal mort.

    5. What' is this starcraft or battle pirates?

    6. Honestly the current weapons should be able to shoot them, just never had to look up. Most weapons would be able to aim up, i assume. This is where the retarget of the mercury/MC/MCX will definately come in handy

  3. Replies
    1. rofl don't we hear this every month?

    2. Can't spoil what's already spoiled, right? Let's see... the game was spoiled with:
      - Nuclear Cruisers
      - Hellstrikes
      - Reapers
      - Weapon Retrofit Costs
      - Halos
      - Ship-based Flak (Phalanx)
      - Spectres

    3. Don't forget the Impulse Launcher :)

    4. Don't forget the rep conversion BP professor

    5. Very top lvl prize.... dont think enough will end up in use to ruin the game.

  4. This doesn't seem right; drones are associated with tactical modules; this sounds like something that would go into war commander, not battle pirates. Even the terminology is wrong; they specifically call them UAVs, not drones.

    1. you know a UAV is a drone correct?
same way piranhas and the rest of the module based drones.
though yes i agree with them being module based but then it would be hard for them to make that mechanic, this way its easier it counts as a missile that goes to the target, circles it a bit and returns to the ship. lets wait and see how it works properly, because i can sence alot of the new carrier ships being built for base attacks.

  5. xnih....great info as always.....where is it you find this info from?

    1. In the config files kixeye sends to everyone when you are loading the game.

    2. where can i find those files ?

    3. and give up my secret? :)

They are written to your HD every time you load the game.

    4. So you just look at the config files with a text editor and read what they are loading basically?

    5. compare newest one to previous one to see what changed (ie what is new this time around), map some info here to there (id numbers to names). So yeah, in a nutshell, get the config files, read them in and figure it out.

  6. xnih do u know how hard this raid may be and how much points this new drone thing is :-) thx pls reply

    1. Sorry, I only have insight into what kixeye chooses to send out early in config files and that type of info is not in them.

As for prize costs, that info isn't in the config files yet. Typically is about 2-4 days before the raid it shows up. Same time as a full list of prizes showing up on my site normally.

  7. Maybe there trying to merge the two games into one

  8. I really like this idea but I am also worried at the same time about the stats of such a hull.

  9. The idea can be pretty balanced depending on how they implement it. Not the end of the world.

  10. It's not the end of the world, but I quit playing war commander for a reason. I didn't care for where it was headed (forced path raids, rare resources hard to find/keep, etc etc) Vega and WC pretty much the same and game play is dull, hence why it is not the "hot game" from Kix. They bland this one to those levels and their revenue will suffer big time.

I agree overall with The Batman's comments, it is just a name and description and no details on specifics for the weapon. Also I have no access to a developer feeding me info.

Historically there was more guess work into T4 vs T5 stuff, but that is no longer the case, nor has it been for a long time, but things are always subject to change and once I post the prize list (if I beat kixeye to it) that disclaimer will be there also.

  12. What is this starcraft or battle pirates...

  13. Interesting, those little "unknowns" could become the new cannon if they felt there wasn't enough interest in raid.

    1. Hard to say for sure, but from what I've seen historically I don't think that is the case. My guess is an automated piece that puts every info in the file and they've just programmed around it/not noticed it.

Sort of like 2 months ago when they were off by a 0 on the prize cost and even though I'd had it out there for days they still didn't get it fixed until after the event briefing and it got pointed out to them on the forums.

  14. There was nothing said in the briefing vid, or description. It's possible that you can trade points for rep, but as xinth has said, they have done it before

  15. Since these hornet UAV's are considered penetrating, would the solid fuel boosters work with them?
